Our faculty is composed of a body of professionals, from several academic backgrounds, uniquely qualified to integrate knowledge from the natural, physical and social sciences. All the basic sciences are holistically applied to the diagnosis of wood as a material and its utilization for the benefit of the Commonwealth and the nation.
The staff in the Sustainable Biomaterials department are very dedicated having worked with the department for many years. They are instrumental in supporting the faculty and students in our department’s mission.
Our graduate students come from a very diverse background. Under the direction of our faculty, they are pursuing degrees in Sustainable Biomaterials, Packaging Systems and Design, Macromolecular Science & Engineering, Chemistry, and Civil Engineering.
