Workshop and Field Demonstration for Vacuum-Steam Treatment of Logs to Meet Export Requirements

What is this about?  This program is composed of both a workshop and field demonstration of vacuum-steam phytosanitation for logs. The goal of the workshop is to introduce all those associated with the movement and export of logs to a commercially viable non-fumigation method of treatment. 

Who Should Attend?  Loggers, lumber manufacturers, freight forwarders, forest products exporters, forest industry NGOs, Forest Service representatives, USDA APHIS PPQ inspectors, fumigators and academic and research institutions.

When?  June 5, 2019

Cost:  The cost for the workshop is $28.00 and you must register (Registration Link Here). We have limited seating and need registrations to assure the correct amount of food for lunch and that you receive a parking pass. Parking passes will be provided on the day of the event.

Where?  The workshop and demonstration will be held at the Brooks Forest Products Center, located near the Virginia Tech/Montgomery County Executive Airport, in Blacksburg, VA. The address is 1650 Research Center Dr. Blacksburg, VA 24061.
