InsideTREES is an educational opportunity to experience college life while also learn about an interdisciplinary field that promotes a sustainable future. The target audience for InsideTREES is women and minority high school students from rural regions.  

What is InsideTREES?

  • A three-day summer camp held on Virginia Tech's campus free of cost to the participants.
  • An opportunity to increase awareness of educational and career opportunities in natural resources and sustainable biomaterials 
  • An opportunity to explore aspects of wood science, forestry, engineering, and design through hands-on active learning including group projects, labs, and field trips. 

InsideTREES was held Monday, June 10 - Wednesday, June 12, 2019.  Participants arrived  Sunday, June 09, 2019 and departed the afternoon of Wednesday, June 12, 2019 or Thursday, June 13, 2019.
